The Wall Street Journal has published a new article entitled “Developing Countries Could Reap Trillions by Squashing Financial Secrecy, Paper Says.” The article details the findings from Alex Cobham’s assessment paper in regard to Illicit Financial Flow targets for the Post-2015 development agenda, written for the Copenhagen Consensus Center.
“The paper is indicative of a fresh effort to inject the U.N. development goals with some economic and regulatory targets, even as the critical ones set in the previous period, such as eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, haven’t been accomplished yet.” - Matina Stevis, The Wall Street Journal
