The Domestic Violence Crisis

Anke Hoeffler, Research Officer, Department of Economics, University of Oxford joined the Domestic Violence Crisis: Mobilizing the Public and Private Sectors panel presented by The Forum at Harvard T.H. Chan Public School of Health to discuss her work with on the Post-2015 Consensus project and why domestic violence should not only be viewed as a human rights problem or public health problem but also as a development problem.
This Forum event, held during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, explored the many dimensions of domestic violence, the need for evidence-based prevention strategies and the role that the public and private sectors need to play to shift the conversation from intervention to preventive action. The panel included thought leaders and experts in public health and research coming together to advance the prevention of domestic violence.
