Youth Forum: Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University
On November 23 2016, a Bangladesh Priorities Youth Forum was held at Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University in Dinajpur. Fifty five students from different departments of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology attended the forum. Dr. Fahima Khanam, Dean, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, Hasan Jamil, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Sociology, Juwel Rana, lecturer, Dept. of Sociology and Saifuddin Durud, lecturer, Dept. of Sociology, attended as special guests

After a lively debate and fruitful discussion regarding the ranking of top priority for Bangladesh, 15 students have ranked “E-procurement across government” as their top priority considering its high benefit-cost ratio and possible contribution in ensuring smooth procurement system. One of the students commented
we need to think in the way that Electronic procurement has not only ensured transparency and effectiveness but also have higher return and money savings which can be invested in other sectors.”
In addition, “Boost agricultural productivity” was ranked as a top priority another 10 students. To quote one of them
if we don’t have food sufficiency, what will we do with digitization? Boosting agricultural productivity will not only contribute in food security in Bangladesh but also help in alleviating poverty because most of the poor are from farmer.”
Together, the students ranked the following interventions as their top 5 priorities for Bangladesh.
