Rural Forum: Boro Fotepur Village
On July 13 2016, a rural forum was held at Boro Fotepur Government Primary School to enable rural citizens living in the Boro Fotepur village to present their views on development priorities for Bangladesh.
A total of 29 participants from a variety of professions in rural area were present, including 3 teachers, 2 farmers, 11 businesspersons, 1 government employee, 1 government employee (retired), 1 private sector employee, 3 students, 1 expatriate, 1 unemployed and 4 other private sectors representatives.
There was a lively debate and fruitful discussion regarding the development priorities for Bangladesh. Almost half of the participants ranked “Land Record Digitization” as number one priority.
Together, the rural forum participants ranked the following as the top 5 highest priority solutions for Bangladesh.
