Youth Forum: Comilla University
On November 7 2016, a Bangladesh Priorities Youth Forum was held at Comilla University to enable the university students to present their views on the development priorities for Bangladesh. Forty two students from different departments of Comilla University participated in the youth forum.
After a lively debate and fruitful discussion regarding the ranking of top priority for Bangladesh, the students ranked “E-procurement across government” as their top priority. One participant commented
Developed countries has been benefiting from digitization of their governance mechanism. Bangladesh needs to digitize its different sectors to ensure good governance. Since, procurement is one of the most corrupted sector, we can expand E-procurement system across the government to halt corruption and mismanagement, increase competition and save money.”
Together, the students ranked the following interventions as their top 5 priorities for Bangladesh.
